weather has been great for Feb..lots of sun, lite winds and water temp coming up.. water temp from 62-69, depending where you were... back lakes providing good trout and reds...out in front of the drains, lots of Rat Reds.. and some slot fish also...periodic breakoffs confirm the existence of some really large fish also..trout to 20" on gulp and live shrimp.. actually artificial baits caught more fish than did live bait.. PORT O'CONNOR BASH was held Sat and Sunday.. first day 1st place team weighed in 18.74#... 2nd place team only approx one pound behind.. final results... 1st place 34.++ lbs to win... most all entrants made the run to East Matagorda Bay..Sundays run was a lot slower because of the fog.. .. fishing outlook good... best time to go fishing..... any time you can...
