wind has been getting up.. trout slow reds and black drum good.. Fri had CCA Dallas with us... might have known.. drum and reds slow. (we got some really old bait that did not look good at all) which i think was part of the problem... lots of fog... never lifted used the GPS to get around, finally gave up on reds and black drum and went to try for some trout... caught 22-25 trout, mostly small with only 4 or 5 keepers which we released... all on live shrimp in the back lakes.. slow trip overall... bite has bee really late and we quit at 2:30pm... Sat we took a different tact... wading with artificials.. caught black drum to 28" and Reds to 27" on mirrorlures(chart top and bottom/silver side (they don't make this one any longer) switched to soft plastics, Bass Assassins and Gulp , Trout to 17" or so, all released, again mostly small... water really got off color at about noon(like the Brazos River, pure mud). the bite shut down and we went to the house at 1:30 or so..water temp 68-69 where we were.. lots of sun Sat,pretty day.. .....loads and loads of people Sat also(Spring Break) Sun wind was pumping at 29+++.. stayed in bed..
