could start the same way, but i won't... suffice to say when the wind lays, the fish bite.. back lakes still producing trout and reds.. Sat am (4am).. a line of thunderbumpers came through.. lots of lightning, wind and approx 2" of rain..wind gusts to 45... cleared off later but still windy... sun am wind layed... 10mph or less. (the weatherman was finally right) wading wet... water temp 76F or so early.. cloudy... throwing soft plastics... a bump here and there, but no real action... tied on a topwater (bone superspook jr. 1st 5 casts... Kabam!!!! they were hitting it like there was no tomorrow..action lasted about 45 min. Prime time was still 3.5 hours away.. caught and released (CR trip)6 fish in a little over an hour... largest right at 21"... that was more like it... looking over my shoulder to the East there was a big storm closing in on us... We headed in, but we had waited too long and got caught... took shelter in a vacant covered shed for approx 1 hr.. then continued to the ramp and loaded up , still in the rain.. just enough action to whet your appetite...any whooooo... had a good time.. be back after this front lets up...
