water movement was minimal New Years day and even though the water had warmed up a bit where we were (61F) the fish were not active.. so we went to the house to watch football and to try again Fri... Fri we stayed near the cuts to the gulf to try to maximize what little water movement we had... it paid off... lots of reds 24-26" class we kept 4 and broke off several more along with several trout to 18'.. all in approx 3 hours.. wind came up a bit, so we went to the house to watch some more football.. the weatherman had promised so more good weather for Sat along with some fog, a repeat of today right???? anywho... he missed it... wind at 5 am was howling at approx 35+++mph... we hauled buggy for the Houston airport to pick up my mother who had been out of town for 2 weeks... will be back at them the 6th or so... reds and trout on fri came on gold spoons.. on a low tide in calf deep water 62F...
