cold front after cold front.. been watchin' the weather close and thought the 24th would present some good opportunities for some fish catching.. the wind is always a factor in the winter time.. we heard a rumor that the front due in Sat pm was going to come in early, but still thought we could get the morning in ....looked at the weather reports in our area and decided to wait until 8 am or so before we would launch... wind was dead calm at 7am... the calm before the storm.. at 8am the wind had turned and was coming from the north at approx 10-12 mph... we decided to wait... a good thing... at 9am 20-25 from the north... we watched tv... a good friend launched at 7am.... at 9am he was seeking shelter and trying to get back to the ramp... he made it, but he had to keep his boat on a plane the last 40' or so at the ramp to get it back on the trailer.. no water...... the water really dropped out.. so no fish... will try again between fronts... 'till next time.... capt mac... 1/29... 1/30... water temps in the low 50's... best fishing is in the pm as the water warms..
