Trying to catch up on my reports....had several trips to catch bull reds.... mostly successful, sometimes slow (2 or 3) but most 7-10 and then a few wildly successful 40-50 ..... will wear you out, break or destroy tackle (have broken 4 rods in the last week)... lots of pics...will post some new ones as soon as my webmaster gets a chance.. we have gone to heavier tackle.(mostly because we have broken the lighter ones).. offshore rod...15 - 30#, with 20 to 30# mono or 50# braid... Shimano Calcutta 250s work well..along with various spinning reels (Penn or Shimano) .. # 5 straight shank hook or # 5 wide-gap circle hooks work good...best bait lately has been Spanish Sardines, great weather, but now it looks like fall is here. As the water temp drops, look for trout and reds over shell... 'till next time... Capt Mac
