trying to get in a fishing trip between windy days...water temp 74.5 when we left the dock...77.5 when we came in... yesterday wind 25-30, but today was supposed to be 10-15.... What do you know!!! the weatherman was right... day ahead of a front with the barometer dropping and the wind manageable, thought we should have a banner day... not a whole lot of water movement, but the day should be good...... it was slow... bull reds and the Big Ugly not biting.. lots of Gaftop and hardheads... no reds to speak of... trout were small 13-15 or so... caught quite a few late, but no keepers... did catch a 2-1/2# pompano which tasted good.. going to redo the trip in June or July when the guys can get back down here........ " the best laid plans of mice and men".....thursday... wind 30-35mph most of the day...started to lay late.. 'till next time capt mac
