Date: Bay and Surf report..
been a lot lazy about posting my reports lately..hopefully i will do better... Talked to an old customer of mine, i think either Sat or Sun this past weekend.. we have become friends over the past 14 years or so... i have been refinishing some old rods for him for the past 3-4 years or so...maybe longer, i can't remember... i have a real problem about refinishing antiques, or rods , or anything old..as i like the character of "old" and that is always part of the story... so.....more than anything i "clean" them.... anyhow.. this gentleman has had some health problems over the years, but he has never let his health stand in the way of his love of fishing. we are now helping him recuperate (mentally) and i know we will be fishing as soon as possible..... Hang in there Art.. Reds steady to good... mostly good.. trout depending on where you are and what you are using for bait.. fair to good with occasional limits.. croaker have been good for trout, .. soft plastics for reds along with cut bait and mullet.... With all the rain, i look for the marshes to drain with the outgoing tide and bring a ton of shrimp and bait with it.. Play it by ear, stay dry and good fishing... capt mac
