surf on again, off again... been some 40-50 # tarpon caught in the surf near the big jetties..on croaker, trout early early....before daylight.. 5:45am... only slapping at topwaters with few hookups.. went to bass assassins... fish were there but the bite was wierd... just holding on and spitting back at you when you showed them the net.. only managed 6 keepers with a 19" flounder... lots of 14 1/2 to 15 1/2 fish.. only kept 16 to 21... 21 largest of the day, except of course the one that got away... est 4#... water not moving... currents really lite.. dead sticking bass assassins seemed to work best on 1/16 oz finessee hooks.. or no weight...
